Joshua 1:8
"...[B]ut you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." (Joshua 1:8).
"You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me." (John 5:39).
"And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:13).
"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies."
ReplyDeleteLove this. We were bought at a price by Jesus. Praise God.
P.S. - Feeling a little convicted about the honor God with our bodies thing as a sit here at lunch and stuff my face with cheese nips.
Ha! Cheese nips aren't healthy?!
ReplyDeleteI really like v. 20 as well: "For you were bought at a price; therefore honor God with your body."
V. 11 really hit home with me: "And this is what some of you used to be. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God."
It's amazing how Jesus completely changes us - and continually changes us. I'm so grateful for that!
I read this chapter and yes Josh - v. 11 is fantastic, especially with all the guilt that accompanied much of the reading... at least for me.
