Blessed are those who mourn...

Ecc 7:2-4 (ESV) It is better to go to the house of mourning

than to go to the house of feasting,

for this is the end of all mankind,

and the living will lay it to heart.

Sorrow is better than laughter,

for by sadness of face the heart is made glad.

The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning,

but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth.

Matt 5:4 (ESV) Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Mourn (mawrn, mohrn)

2. to grieve or lament for the dead. 
3. to show the conventional or usual signs of sorrow over a person's death. 

—verb (used with object) 

4. to feel or express sorrow or grief over (misfortune, loss, or anything regretted); deplore. 
5. to grieve or lament over (the dead). 
6. to utter in a sorrowful manner. 

Rom 6:23 (ESV) For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
