  1. What constitutes a real widow?

Thoughts on: "And whoever does not provide for relatives, and especially for family members, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever." We're in such a "fend for yourself" society, even when it comes to family members... We always talk about how there is helping versus enabling. We also talk about giving and loving unconditionally and without stipulations. A lot of fine lines...

  2. Good point about helping vs. enabling. This is a tough one. I suppose its better to err on the side of helping people, giving them the benefit of the doubt, when it comes to helping. But then again, is it really loving to make family members (or whoever) dependent on help rather than teaching them that they need to learn to take care of themselves. Hmmmmm... Interesting question to think about.
