Joshua 1:8
"...[B]ut you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." (Joshua 1:8).
"You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me." (John 5:39).
"And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:13).
V. 2 instructs to proclaim the message regardless of whether it is the "right timing." Is this speaking specifically to timothy? Or to any christian?
ReplyDeleteThis is a letter to Timothy so I would say specifically Timothy in this instance. However, I would suggest reading Ephesians 4 to better answer your question.
ReplyDeleteEvery Christian ought to be teaching, professing, and standing for truth. As Jesus said, we ought to be a light. No one lights a candle and hides it but rather puts it out for all to see. We ought to be a light, salt, a city on a hill. That being said, we also ought to be careful we're not teaching what hasn't been revealed to us and thus relaying false information.
